POLICE CLEARANCES

To apply for a police clearance from the Houston Police Department, please submit the following documents:

1. HOUSTON POLICE CLEARANCE APPLICATION FORM

   Click here to download Houston Police Department Clearance Application Form. Give particular attention to your phone number, length of residence in Houston, including month and year, and the reason for the clearance.

2. HOUSTON POLICE CLEARANCE ORDER FORM

   Click here to download Houston Police Clearance Order Form.

3. COPY OF VALID ID

   A photocopy of your valid driver's license, Texas identification card, birth certificate or passport. Expired licenses, identification cards and passports will NOT be accepted.

4. FINGERPRINTS (If applicable)

   If you have ever been arrested by the Houston Police Department, you must include a legible set of fingerprints.

5. GOVERNMENT FEE

   $9.00 per application

6. SERVICE FEE

   $40.00 per application - 3 to 4 business day processing
   $60.00 per application - Same day processing

7. RETURN FEDEX EXPRESS

   $23.00 per address
   $35.00 per address (to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, or Saturday delivery)
