VISA FOR BELIZE

U.S. passport holders do not need a visa for Belize for tourism or business, and may stay up to 90 days.

To apply for a visa to Belize, please mail the following documents to our offfice:

ACTUAL PASSPORT
   

You must send your actual passport. The visa will be stamped on a page in your passport. Your passport must have at least six months of validity left beyond your intended stay in Belize, and must have at least TWO blank visa pages. Amendment pages do not count.

  PHOTOGRAPH
    Each applicant should submit one 2" x 2" passport type color photograph. The photograph should be of good quality and with a plain white background.

  BUSINESS LETTER AND LETTER OF INVITATION (For business visa only)
   

For business visa, submit BOTH business letter and letter of invitation:

  • Business Letter should be on company letterhead giving details of the nature of visit, including the dates of stay, hotel information and addresses, organization to be visited and a financial guarantee from the company, signed by a senior manager.
  • Letter of Invitation should be issued from the host company in Belize.

  PROOF OF U.S. STATUS
    Copy of U.S. permanent resident card (front and back), or original U.S. visa with I-94.
  CONSULATE FEE
   
  • $50.00 per visa - For most nationalities
  • $250.00 per visa - For citizen of Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

Citizen of The Peoples Republic of China should contact the Embassy of Belize directly.
  SERVICE FEE
   
  • $50.00 per visa

The processing time usually takes approximately 4 - 10 business days.

The processing time commences from the day the application submitted to the consulate. Saturdays, Sundays and consulate scheduled holidays do not count as processing days.
  RETURN FEDERAL EXPRESS
    $20.00 per address: Up to three passports
$25.00 per address: Four to six passports
$32.00 per address: Ship to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, or Saturday delivery
