BUSINESS VISA (VITEM II) FOR BRAZIL

The following are the requirements for a U.S. passport holder* to obtain a business visa to Brazil:

  1. Your original U.S. passport. You must have at least 6 months of validity left on the passport beyond your exit date from Brazil, with at least TWO blank visa pages. Amendment pages do not count. Click here for details to add pages on existing passport, to renew a passport, or more. Passport must be signed or visa will not be issued.

  2. One Business Visa Application Form for Brazil (in Microsoft Word format). The form must be updated in July 2008 (see the bottom on the first page). If the visa application is not completely filled out, signed and dated, we will not be able to submit your documents to the consulate, which will result in significant delays in the processing time. Please also note that signature must be original, not faxed or photo copied.

  3. One 2" x 2" passport type color photograph with plain white background. Photo must be of good quality. Snapshots or computer pictures are not

  4. One of applicant's business card.

  5. Photocopy of driver's license.

  6. Flight Itinerary or copy of round trip tickets.

  7. If applicant traveled within the last 90 days to any of the following countries: Angola, Bolivia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, French Guiana, Gabon, Ghana, Gambia, Republic of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Peru, Sierra Leone, Sudan, or Venezuela, yellow fever vaccination certificate is required. Please note that yellow fever vaccination is advisable if applicant's destination in Brazil includes any of the following States: Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Federal District, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, and Tocantins.

  8. Original Letter of Guarantee from the company in the U.S. explaining in detail the purpose of the business meeting to be held, and have letter signed by applicant's manager. Please see Sample Letter of Guarantee.

  9. One Visa Processing Order Form.

VISA VALIDITY:

The validity and length of stay of a business visa for Brazil are determined by the Consulate. First entry must be within 90 days from date of issue, or visa will become invalid.

CONSULATE FEE:

$200.00 per visa
The processing time for a Brazilian visa is 10 business days, except consulate scheduled holidays, but is subject to change without prior notice.

SERVICE FEE
:

Regular Processing (10 business days): $75.00 per visa
Rush Processing (5 business days): $125.00 per visa

RETURN FEDERAL EXPRESS:

$20.00 per address (up to three passports)
$25.00 per address (four to six passports)
$32.00 per address (to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, or Saturday delivery)
