VISA FOR BULGARIA

U.S. passport holders do not need a visa to visit Bulgaria for tourism or business, and may stay for 30 days.

The following visa requirements are for U.S. permanent resident, or U.S. citizen who wishes to stay in Bulgaria for more than 30 days:

  1. ACTUAL PASSPORT

    You must send your actual passport. The visa will be stamped on a page in your passport. Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity left beyond your intended stay, and must have at least 2 blank visa pages side by side. Amendment pages (pages 22, 23 and 24) do not count.

  4. PHOTOGRAPH

    Each applicant should submit one color photograph. Photograph should be 2" x 2" in size, taken against a plain white background. Snapshot or computer picture will not be accepted.

  5. FLIGHT ITINERARY

    Provide a copy of flight itinerary or copy of round trip tickets.

  6. MEDICAL INSURANCE

    Proof of medical insurance while in Bulgaria.

  7. COPY OF U.S. PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD (For non-U.S. citizen only)

    Non-U.S. citizen should submit a photocopy of U.S. permanent resident card.

  8. BUSINESS LETTER (For Business only)

    Provide a business letter on company letterhead giving details of the nature of visit, including the dates of stay, hotel information and addresses, organization to be visited and a financial guarantee from the company, signed by a senior manager.

  9. LETTER OF INVITATION (For Business only)

    Provide a letter of invitation from the host company in Bulgaria.

  10. EMBASSY FEE

    $68.00 per visa - Tourist/Business single entry (6 business day processing)
    $88.00 per visa - Tourist/Business single entry (3 business day processing)
    $123.00 per visa - Business multiple entry (2 week processing)
    $153.00 per visa - Business multiple entry (3 business day processing)

  11. SERVICE FEE

    $39.00 per visa - Regular processing
    $100.00 per visa - 3 business day processing

  12. RETURN FEDEX EXPRESS

    $23.00 per address (up to 3 passports)
    $28.00 per address (4 to 6 passports)
    $35.00 per address (Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico or Saturday Delivery)
