VISA FOR CANADA

U.S. passport holders do not need a visa to enter Canada for business or tourism, and can stay for up to 3 months. Below are the fees and instructions for non-U.S. passport holders that require visa for Canada. Some nationalities require additional information and may require a personal appearance for an interview at the embassy in D.C. and may require an additional 2 - 4 weeks processing time for government approval. All consular fee are non-refundable.

FOR TOURIST VISA:

  1. Your actual passport. You must have at least 6 months of validity left on the passport beyond your intended stay in Canada. You must have at least one blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.

  2. One Visa Application Form for Canada, completed in full. If the visa application is not completely filled out, signed and dated, we will not be able to submit your documents to the embassy, which will result in significant delays in the processing time.

  3. Two 2" x 2" passport type photographs. Photos must meet the specifications as required by the Consulate of Canada.

  4. Flight itinerary or copies of your round trip air tickets, or letter of invitation from relatives in Canada if you are going to stay with them.

  5. Proof of health insurance with medical coverage valid while traveling abroad.

  6. Hotel confirmation from the hotel you are staying at while in Canada.

  7. Proof of financial support, i.e. bank statements or copies of the last 3 paystubs.

  8. Original proof of U.S. status, i.e. green card, valid U.S. visa with Form I-94, Notice of Action, etc.

  9. Complete our Visa Processing Order Form.

FOR BUSINESS VISA, ALL OF THE ABOVE, BUT ADD:

  1. One Business Letter on company letterhead giving details of the nature of visit, including the dates of stay, hotel information and addresses, organization to be visited and a financial guarantee from the company, signed by a senior manager.

The Consulate of Canada reserves the right to request additional information or personal interview before a visa can be issued.

VISA VALIDITY:

Visa validity and length of stay are determined by the Embassy of Canada.

CONSULATE FEE:

Single Entry: $75.00 per visa
Multiple Entry: $150.00 per visa
Processing Time: 5 Business Days

SERVICE FEE:

Tourist: $75.00 per visa
Business: $75.00 per visa
Same or next day processing: $100.00 per visa

Fees and processing times vary according to nationality.

RETURN FEDERAL EXPRESS:

$20.00 per address (up to three passports)
$25.00 per address (four to six passports)
$32.00 per address (to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, or Saturday delivery)

We recommend that you send all of the required documents via a traceable, overnight delivery service, such as Federal Express.
