VISA FOR THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (KINSHASHA)

The following are the requirements for a U.S. passport holder* to obtain a visa to The Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire):

FOR TOURIST VISA:

  1. Your valid U.S. passport. You must have at least 6 months of validity left on the passport beyond your intended stay in The Democratic Republic of Congo. You must have at least one blank visa page. Amendment pages do not count.

  2. Two Visa Application Forms for The Democratic Republic of Congo, completed in full. If the visa application is not completely filled out, signed and dated, we will not be able to submit your documents to the embassy, which will result in significant delays in the processing time.

  3. Two 2" x 2" passport type photographs.

  4. Proof of Vaccination Certificate for Yellow Fever.

  5. Confirmed Itinerary or copies of your round trip air tickets.

  6. A Notarized Letter of Invitation from The Democratic Republic of Congo host or friend.

  7. Complete our Visa Processing Order Form.

FOR BUSINESS VISA, ALL OF THE ABOVE, BUT ADD:

  1. One Business Letter on company letterhead giving details of the nature of visit, including the dates of stay, hotel information and addresses, organization to be visited and a financial guarantee from the company, signed by a senior manager.

VISA VALIDITY:

Tourist or business visa for Democratic Republic of Congo is usually valid for three months from date of issue, for a stay of one to six months as specified.
