VISA FOR THAILAND

U.S. citizen do not need a visa to enter Thailand for tourism, and may stay up to 30 days.

  1. ACTUAL PASSPORT

    You must send your actual passport. PASSPORT MUST BE SIGNED. The visa will be stamped on a page in your passport. Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity left beyond your intended stay, and must have at least 2 blank visa pages side by side. Amendment pages (pages 22, 23 and 24) do not count.

  4. TWO PHOTOGRAPHS

    Each applicant should submit two color photographs. Two photographs should be identical, 2" x 2" in size, taken against a plain white background. Snapshots or computer pictures will not be accepted.

  5. TRAVEL ITINERARY

    Provide a copy of your flight itinerary or copy of the round trip tickets.

  6. PROOF OF SUFFICIENT FUND

    A copy of recent bank statement is required as proof of sufficient fund for your trip.

  7. CONSENT LETTER (If applicable)

    Children under age of 18 traveling with a single parent or without parents, must have a letter from the parent(s) not traveling giving permission to the child to travel to Thailand with the other parent or with the person with whom they are traveling. Click here for a sample of consent letter. Proof of signature i.e. copy of driver's license or other signed legal document or a notarization of the signature must accompany the letter.

  8. YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION (If applicable)

    Original proof of yellow fever vaccination if arriving from infected area within five days of entry date.

  9. PROOF OF U.S. STATUS (For non-U.S. citizen only)

    Non-U.S. citizen should submit proof of U.S. status (e.g. photocopy of U.S. permanent resident card or photocopy of U.S. visa.)

  10. BUSINESS LETTER (For Business only)

    Provide a business letter on company letterhead giving details of the nature of visit, including the dates of stay, hotel information and addresses, organization to be visited and a financial guarantee from the company, signed by a senior manager.

  11. LETTER OF INVITATION (For Business only)

    Letter of Invitation from the host company in Thailand is required.

  12. CONSULATE FEE

    $35.00 per visa - 3 Month Single Entry Tourist Visa (60 day stay)
    $70.00 per visa - 6 Month Double Entry Tourist Visa (60 day stay per entry)
    $105.00 per visa - 6 Month Triple Entry Tourist Visa (60 day stay per entry)
    $65.00 per visa - 3 Month Business/Non-Immigrant Single Entry, valid for a 90 day stay
    $175.00 per visa - 12 Month Business/Non-Immigrant Multiple Entry

  13. SERVICE FEE

    $39.00 per visa - 4 business day processing
    $100.00 per visa - 24 hour processing

    Please note that Consulate of Thailand does not accept visa applications on Fridays.

  14. RETURN FEDEX EXPRESS

    $23.00 per address (up to 3 passports)
    $28.00 per address (4 to 6 passports)
    $35.00 per address (Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico or Saturday Delivery)
